Dubai's climate is hot and humid. Winter and summer are the two distinct seasons in Dubai. Summer in Dubai starts about the end of April and lasts until the first week of October. Extremely hot weather, hot winds, and high humidity characterise this era. In contrast to other Gulf cities such as Kuwait City and Riyadh, Dubai's summer temperatures are slightly milder due to the city's proximity to the sea. The average temperature in December is 26 °C (79 °F), which is cool to warm with high humidity. The average monthly rainfall is 15 millimetres (0.59 in). Rain falls on just two days a month on average. In December, the average sea temperature is 25 °C (77 °F).

Language

The United Arab Emirates' official language is Arabic. Most Emiratis speak a Gulf Arabic dialect that is close to that spoken in neighbouring countries. Among the expatriate group, a variety of languages are spoken, including Pashto dialects, Hindi, Balochi, and Persian. In Dubai, English is the most widely spoken language. You will have no trouble navigating the city.

Currency

The dirham is the currency of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. There are 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, and 1000 dirham notes available. Coins in circulation include the 1 dirham, 50 fils, and 25 fils. For day-to-day purchases, it's best to have 100-dirham notes and lower denominations on hand.

Dubai Standard time is GST- Gulf Standard Time +4. Dubai does not observe daylight savings.
